What We Believe

Core Beliefs

Our core beliefs are the driving distinctives that govern our decision-making and priorities at
Christian Fellowship. Our faith and practice are built upon the following commandments that
are gleaned from God’s Holy Word—The Bible.

Jesus makes us into a people that “love God and love others.” (Matthew 22:34-40). At Christian
Fellowship, we are built upon and marked by this divine command. Everything we do is
undergirded by our sincere love for God and love for you.

Jesus gave His Word—the Bible—as the final authority for His Church. At Christian Fellowship,
we adhere to the Bible as the perfect and authoritative Word of God. We place strong emphasis
on every person engaging with the Bible in their personal lives and promote such a lifestyle.

Jesus gave Himself for our eternal salvation. We fully embrace the divine truth that Jesus Christ
is God’s Son, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, crucified for the wrongdoing of
humanity, and resurrected back to life, seated in Heaven, and will one day return for His
Church. Jesus is the Founder of our faith and eternal life comes through Him alone and is
granted to anyone who will believe on Him. Salvation is a full and complete work of God alone.
Meaning, it’s a gift of God that no one can earn or deserves.

Jesus has One Father—the Creator. We believe there is one God who created all things in six
literal days and sustains all things by His own power and authority. He is Holy and governs the
universe as the Supreme Being. He is loving and kind, sending His Son to save humanity.

Jesus sent us His Spirit (Holy Spirit) for the continuing work of His ministry on the earth. The
Holy Spirit seals every believer upon placing faith in Jesus for salvation. He guides, matures,
equips, and governs the church as He directs. At Christian Fellowship, we believe in the
subsequent indwelling in the Holy Spirit for every believer’s empowerment.

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

Jesus gave His church spiritual gifts to carry out His ministry by the power of the Holy Spirit. At
Christin Fellowship, we fully embrace and accept the continuation of all spiritual gifts for today,
including the “sign” gifts (tongues, prophecy, healing, miracles), along with the continuation
and function of the “five-fold-ministry” offices (apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd,
teacher). These are accepted on God’s Word for the purpose of equipping and building up the
Body to advance God’s Kingdom in the earth.

Jesus established His Body—the Church. At Christian Fellowship, we value the gathering of the
saints for mutual encouragement, equipping, and strengthening. Our services are for these
purposes, rather we gather in large or small settings, emphasis is given to each member being
built up and contributing to the strengthening of the whole under direction of the Holy Spirit.
